Services

The Auto Herald offers a one-to-one car buying consultancy service. Each session consists of a 30-minute call with Advaith Krishnan, a personalised written booklet specific to your vehicle purchase, and an audiobook version of that booklet. These three deliverables together constitute a single service package.

The consultancy covers car buying in India, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America. Sessions are conducted in English. The advice provided is based on publicly available market data, industry knowledge, and professional experience. It does not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice.

Sessions are conducted remotely via video or audio call. Session scheduling is confirmed by email after payment is received.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Pricing is displayed in the currency applicable to your market: Indian Rupees (INR) for India, UAE Dirhams (AED) for the United Arab Emirates, and US Dollars (USD) for the United States. Prices are inclusive of all deliverables and exclusive of any applicable local taxes.

Payment is processed through the booking link applicable to your market. You will receive a confirmation email with your session details within 24 hours of payment being received. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us at the address in Section 10.

By completing payment you confirm that the details you have provided are accurate and that you are purchasing the session for your own use or on behalf of an individual whose consent you have obtained.

Cancellation and no-shows

You may reschedule your session with at least 24 hours notice prior to the confirmed session time. To reschedule, contact us by email at the address in Section 10. Rescheduling requests submitted with less than 24 hours notice are treated at our discretion and cannot be guaranteed.

If we are unable to conduct your session for reasons within our control, you will be offered a full reschedule or, at your election, a full refund. In the event of a rescheduled session that you subsequently cannot attend, the standard cancellation and no-show policy applies from the rescheduled date.

Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 7 business days to the original payment method.

Client confidentiality

We treat all information you share with us as strictly confidential. This includes the vehicle you are considering, the budget you disclose, your personal circumstances as shared during the session, and any other information you provide in the course of booking or attending your session.

Client information is used solely to provide the consultancy service, to communicate with you regarding your booking, and to send your session deliverables. We do not sell, rent, or license your personal data to any party for any purpose.

Session recordings, if any are made with your prior consent for the purpose of producing your booklet and audiobook, are used exclusively for that purpose and are deleted once the deliverables have been sent to you.

We retain your contact information and booking record for a period of 12 months for administrative purposes, after which it is deleted from our systems. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us at the address in Section 10.

Testimonials

Any testimonials displayed on our website or shared publicly have been provided with the full knowledge and consent of the client concerned. We do not fabricate, alter, or attribute testimonials without the explicit agreement of the individual involved.

If you believe a testimonial attributed to you has been published without your consent, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 10 and we will remove it within 48 hours.

Session deliverables

Following your session, we will send your personalised booklet and audiobook to the email address you provided at the time of booking. Delivery is completed within 6 hours of your session concluding, provided the session took place as scheduled.

The booklet and audiobook are prepared specifically for your vehicle, your market, and your circumstances as discussed during the session. They are for your personal use only and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.

If you do not receive your deliverables within 6 hours of your session, please check your spam or junk folder before contacting us. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect email addresses provided at the time of booking.

Intellectual property

All written content, frameworks, methodologies, audio recordings, and other materials provided as part of your session package are the intellectual property of The Auto Herald and Advaith Krishnan. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for your own car purchasing decision.

You may not reproduce, publish, share, resell, or distribute any session materials in whole or in part without our prior written permission. This includes but is not limited to sharing the booklet or audiobook with third parties, uploading materials to any platform, or using session content for commercial purposes.

All content published on theautoherald.com remains the property of The Auto Herald and may not be reproduced without attribution and prior written consent.

Limitation of liability

The advice provided during your session is based on publicly available information, professional experience, and knowledge of the relevant markets. It is intended to help you prepare for your vehicle purchase and negotiate more effectively. It does not constitute a guarantee of any particular price, deal, or outcome.

The Auto Herald and Advaith Krishnan accept no liability for any loss, financial or otherwise, arising from decisions you make in connection with your vehicle purchase, whether or not those decisions were informed by advice provided during your session.

Our maximum liability to you in connection with any session is limited to the amount you paid for that session. We accept no liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses of any kind.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

If we make material changes that affect sessions already booked, we will notify you by email at the address you provided at the time of booking.
