Škoda has commenced sales of the Kushaq in Vietnam, marking the first Škoda model to be locally assembled from completely knocked-down (CKD) kits.

This milestone follows the official opening of a new assembly plant in March 2025, developed in collaboration with regional partner and investor Thanh Cong Group.

The local production benefits from synergies with Škoda’s Indian operations, from where the CKD kits are imported for assembly.

Comprehensive Testing and Growing Market Presence

Before production began, pre-series Kushaq vehicles covered over 330,000 kilometres on various Vietnamese roads. They underwent extensive climate testing, enduring temperatures ranging from -10°C to +42°C and high humidity, ensuring suitability to the local environment.

Since Škoda’s entry into Vietnam in September 2023, 15 dealerships have opened, including a new ‘Experience Centre’ showroom concept in Hanoi.
