Nissan has reached a landmark moment in its U.S. production history: 700,000 Murano crossovers assembled domestically. This figure combines output from two facilities—Canton, Mississippi (2014 to 2020) and the Smyrna, Tennessee plant, where production continues today.

“This milestone is a direct reflection of the pride our team takes in every vehicle they build,” said Brian Crockett, vice president of manufacturing at the Smyrna plant.

“Behind each of the 700,000 Muranos are the people who bring their skill, dedication and attention to detail to work every day.”

Currently, more than 6,700 Murano crossovers are assembled each month in Smyrna.

Recognized for Its American Roots

The Murano is assembled exclusively in the United States and was recently listed among the Top 100 vehicles in the 2025 Cars.com American-Made Index, which ranks vehicles based on production, sourcing, and employment contributions to the U.S. economy.

Design, Technology, and Comfort

The Murano exemplifies Nissan’s “energetic elegance” design philosophy, with available 21-inch wheels, full-width LED tail lights, and optional two-tone paintwork.
