Kia has officially unveiled its first global electric sedan—the all-new EV4—an elegant and cutting-edge C-segment vehicle that redefines electric mobility.

Showcased in full technical detail on June 16, 2025, in Seoul, the EV4 marks Kia’s bold expansion into the premium compact sedan market, offering class-leading innovation, ultra-rapid charging, and a WLTP-estimated range of up to 630 km.

Now available in Korea, global sales are expected to commence in the latter half of 2025.

The EV4 is offered in a four-door configuration for Korea and North America and as a five-door variant tailored to European markets. Crafted on Hyundai Motor Group’s proven E-GMP platform, this vehicle seamlessly combines performance, technology, and design.

Distinctive Exterior Architecture

Kia’s design language, “Opposites United,” takes center stage in the EV4’s striking form. Its aerodynamic silhouette boasts a class-leading drag coefficient of 0.230 Cd, sculpted lines, and sustainable materials including 20% recycled content in its bumpers and side garnishes.

LED lighting is standard, with intelligent lighting systems like the optional Intelligent Front-lighting System (IFS) and Total Inner Reflection (TIR) modules improving efficiency and visibility.

Enhancements include floating tail lamps (outside North America), dynamic welcome/escort lights, and a novel manual front-mounted charging door with a convenient charging status indicator. The EV4 comes in Light, Wind, and GT-Line trims in the US, and Air, Earth, and GT-Line in Europe.

Inside, the EV4 offers unmatched comfort with Rest Mode—a feature that reclines front seats and alters lighting for relaxation. A sliding center console table adds versatility, supporting work or leisure. Ambient two-tier mood lighting, ultra-slim seatbacks, and an HVAC system reduced in volume by 33% enhance space and serenity.

Infotainment is managed through a unified touchscreen integrating AVNT and climate controls, supported by features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Theater Mode, and a Harman Kardon sound system. Voice recognition and Digital Key 2.0 further elevate user convenience.

The EV4 offers two powertrain configurations with front-wheel drive motors delivering 283 Nm of torque. Acceleration is brisk, with 0-100 km/h achieved in as little as 7.4 seconds.
