Renault has officially opened reservations for the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a cutting-edge, all-electric homage to the iconic Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2. Reviving the spirit of 1980s rally legends, this new “mini-supercar” delivers jaw-dropping performance with an avant-garde design, all while embracing sustainable technology.
Performance That Redefines Its Segment
At the heart of the Renault 5 Turbo 3E lies an 800V electrical architecture paired with dual rear in-wheel motors. These generate a colossal 540 hp and an extraordinary 4,800 Nm of torque, launching the car from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds.

A 70 kWh battery ensures a WLTP range exceeding 400 km, while ultra-fast DC charging (up to 350 kW) allows a 15–80% recharge in just 15 minutes. The car weighs under 1,450 kg thanks to its carbon-fibre structure and is mounted on a custom aluminium platform.
Personalisation: A Journey in Craftsmanship
In 2026, reservation holders will enter a customisation phase, choosing between heritage liveries—such as the Rouge Grenade or the 1982 Tour de Corse rally colours—and new bespoke options. Customers may collaborate directly with Renault designers to personalise everything from seat materials to dashboard trims, ensuring each car is a unique statement.
Limited Production and Reservation Details
Only 1,980 individually numbered units of the Turbo 3E will be produced. From 22 April 2025 at 9 am CET, customers can place a €50,000 reservation through a dedicated Renault platform, securing priority purchase rights and even selecting their preferred car number.

The initial recommended price is €155,000 (VAT incl.) for the first 500 signatories in Europe (including the UK), the Middle East, Japan, and Australia.
Looking Ahead
In a first for the brand, Renault is involving both customers and dealers in an upfront funding scheme to support development. “This innovative reservation scheme reflects the exceptional nature of the project,” said Ivan Segal, Global Sales and Operations Director at Renault.

Following its showcase at RNLT stores across major cities, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E will headline the Goodwood Festival of Speed (10–13 July 2025). Final configurations begin in early 2027, with first deliveries slated the same year, pending homologation.
