At the 2025 New York International Auto Show, Volkswagen of America, Inc. proudly announced that the ID. Buzz has been awarded the prestigious title of 2025 World Car Design of the Year.
Chosen among three finalists, this marks the sixth World Car Award for the German automaker.

The ID. Buzz is a bold reinterpretation of Volkswagen’s iconic Microbus, blending nostalgic design cues with modern innovation and a fully electric powertrain. Its standout design was instrumental in securing the award, which recognizes vehicles that push the boundaries of creativity and automotive aesthetics.

Retro-Inspired Styling Meets Modern Comfort
Featuring vibrant two-tone exteriors, a bold VW logo, and playful “Easter Eggs”, the ID. Buzz is as visually engaging as it is practical. Inside, it offers ample legroom and headroom, a 12.9-inch infotainment display, seating for up to seven, an electrochromic panoramic glass roof, and available 30-color ambient lighting.
