Audi has unveiled the latest iteration of its A6 Avant, redefining first-class travel in the premium full-size segment. With an industry-leading drag coefficient of 0.24—the best for an Audi Avant with a combustion engine—the vehicle seamlessly integrates form and function. The car’s sleek profile is accentuated by large air curtains, controllable cool-air intakes, a striking roof spoiler, and aerodynamic panels around the rear window. The iconic quattro blisters, long wheelbase, and extended hood further underscore its elegant yet sporty appeal.

MHEV Plus: Power Meets Efficiency

The A6 Avant features Audi’s advanced MHEV plus mild hybrid technology, elevating both performance and efficiency. The system includes a 48-volt battery, a belt alternator starter (BAS), and a powertrain generator (PTG) that enables electric parking and maneuvering. The PTG provides additional torque of up to 250 Nm and an extra 20 kW (27 PS) of power during acceleration. Additionally, energy recuperation of up to 30 kW is achieved during deceleration.

Precision Handling with Adaptive Air Suspension

The A6 Avant ensures an impeccable balance of sportiness and comfort with an enhanced chassis and steering system. Standard progressive steering has been refined for greater responsiveness, while optional all-wheel steering improves agility. At lower speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels for a reduced turning circle by up to one meter. At higher speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front for superior stability.

Audi’s adaptive air suspension actively regulates ride height and shock absorption, while the quattro sport differential enhances dynamic cornering capabilities. These technologies combine to deliver a refined, engaging driving experience.

A Digitally Enhanced Interior for First-Class Travel

Inside, the A6 Avant offers an expansive, technology-laden cabin that prioritizes driver engagement and passenger comfort. The MMI panoramic display and passenger display elevate the digital experience, while the new digital lighting system allows customization with seven unique light signatures. Second-generation digital OLED rear lights further enhance visibility and safety.

A panoramic glass roof enhances the cabin’s airy ambience, while the premium Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system delivers an immersive audio experience. Enhanced sound insulation and the optional four-zone climate control, complete with an air quality package featuring an ionizer and fine dust sensor, ensure an exceptionally comfortable journey.

Launch and Pricing

The new Audi A6 Avant will be available for order from March 2025, with first deliveries expected in May 2025. Pricing starts at €57,500 for the base 2.0 TFSI model, while the 2.0 TDI variant with MHEV plus begins at €61,200.

Looking Ahead

With its blend of dynamic performance, cutting-edge hybrid technology, and an opulent, tech-forward interior, the new Audi A6 Avant raises the benchmark for premium full-size estates. Whether for long-distance cruising or urban agility, this latest iteration offers an unmatched combination of efficiency, power, and refinement.
