Geely Auto, along with its local Thai distributor Thonburi Group, welcomed clients to the grand delivery event for the very first batch of Geely EX5 cars at their headquarters in Bangkok on March 2, 2025, as 84 customers took receipt of these impressive vehicles.

This milestone moment coincides with Thonburi Group’s 84th anniversary, reflecting a long-standing dedication to the Thai automotive sector. The “double 84” motif honors the growing international footprint of the brand while reinforcing its commitment to new energy vehicle (NEV) uptake in Thailand.
Breaking 1,000 Orders: An Unwavering Market Reception
The Geely EX5, unveiled at Bangkok’s 41st Thailand International Motor Show in late 2024, has quickly become popular among Thai buyers. With total orders now exceeding 1,000 units, the model is found to be a hit among the increasingly popular EV segment.
The dealers at the show were optimistic about Geely’s market positioning, citing the EX5’s advanced technology and matching local consumer preferences.
Enhancing the Service Network
To meet the high demand, Geely Thailand has planned delivery to maintain a steady supply of the EX5 in 2025. To further improve customer experience, the company is growing its showroom and service center network to more than 30 by year-end.

The expansion is to ensure smooth sales and after-sales services, supporting customer confidence in the brand.
Consumer Trust Reinforces Brand Strength
Interestingly, more than 80% of the original batch of buyers bought the EX5 without a test drive first, which clearly indicates huge confidence in the brand. Most customers named the EX5’s features as the best family car as a top consideration in making their purchase.
Even after being solicited by other brands during the time they had placed orders, these customers stuck with Geely, reflecting the company’s robust market image.

During the ceremony, Geely Thailand’s Marketing Director, Evan Zhang, and Thonburi TNS CEO, Mr. Narong, handed over specially designed flower bouquets to the new owners, who happily posted their experience on social media. As proof of how successful the event was, Geely Thailand’s official Facebook page registered an additional 17,000 followers, further solidifying the brand’s increasing presence in the region.
Looking Ahead
As Geely Thailand launches the EX5, the company continues to stick to its “Product-User-Partner” triune strategy. The success of this launch is a stepping stone towards Geely’s mission of “Making Refined Cars for Everyone.”

Focusing on trust, innovation, and service excellence, Geely is ready to deepen its presence in the Thai automotive market while driving the global EV revolution forward.
