Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian State Police mark a twenty-year milestone in a collaboration characterized by pioneering technology, service to society, and heroic rescues.

The initiative began in 2004 with the donation of a Lamborghini Gallardo and has since accompanied more than 200 critical organ transport missions and participated in more than 1,500 road safety events throughout Italy, in an ongoing effort to build a culture of responsible driving.

Chief of Police Prefect Vittorio Pisani pointed out: “These cars have become irreplaceable in specific uses, especially during transports of organs for transplantation, which are performed in cooperation with the National Transplant Centre.”

A Fleet of Innovation and Service

Over twenty years, Lamborghini has supplied six customized high-performance vehicles to public safety and emergency operations.

Here are the four models:

• Gallardo 510-4 (2004-2005): The first contribution of Lamborghini was the Gallardo, equipped with V10 engines. This vehicle was significant for patrols and urgent organ deliveries. It participated in ceremonial events and saved lives through medical missions.
• Gallardo LP 560-4 (2008): This model, with its upgraded 5.2L V10 engine and 325 km/h top speed, enhanced the State Police’s operational efficiency. It participated in ceremonial events and saved lives through medical missions.
• Huracán LP 610-4 (2014-2017): Designed for maximum performance, this vehicle transported organs and provided life-saving support. Notably, it saved a patient’s life in 2023 by facilitating a critical kidney delivery.
• Urus Performante (2023): The latest addition, with a 666 CV twin-turbocharged V8, combines advanced safety features and exceptional speed. Its cutting-edge livery and essential tools significantly enhance its integral role in security and emergency services.
