Skoda Auto have another new model for 2025. Surprise, surprise – it is electric AND it is an SUV. Alongside the Elroq that debuted in December 2024, the next generation Skoda Enyaq is set to complete Skoda’s electric SUV lineup. It isn’t coming alone, however – the Enyaq Coupe also makes it debut alongside the regular body-style Enyaq.

The Many Flavors of the Enyaq
The Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe will be offered in three trims, each with differing equipment, but the most significant difference being in battery size, no. of motors and drivetrain configuration. As it stands, the Enyaq 60 and Enyaq 85 make do with a single motor driving the rear wheels, while the Enyaq 85x gets another motor at the front, making it all-wheel-drive.

The 60 with its 201 hp, can officially drive between 437 and 446 km depending on the body-style, and the 85, with 282 hp, can do between 586 and 596 km respectively. The 85x takes a small hit to the range for the sake of including AWD.
Solid Looks, and That’s Not the End of It
Skoda have taken an interesting route in terms of design here – side-by-side, once can tell the new model is unmistakably an Enyaq, but the designers have done a great job melding Skoda’s new design language, previously showcased in the Elroq. That includes the Tech-Deck Face, representing the grille that also manages to conceal an array of sensors and cameras.

Slimmer, sharper lights grant the Enyaq a redefined elegance and sense of premium-ness. To achieve the remarkable range figures cited by Skoda, effort has been put into making the car cut through the air more effectively, with Cd values of 0.245 for the Enyaq and 0.225 for the Coupe. The biggest difference regarding dimensions is that new models are longer by 5 – 9 mm between the regular and coupe body style, with minute increments regarding the height and wheelbase.
Skoda Smarts on the Inside
The interior of the new Enyaq brings together a sense of premium materials, excellent build quality, up-to-date tech and effortless practicality. A 5” instrument cluster screen and a 13” infotainment screen come as standard now. There are four different options packages – Clever, Plus, Advanced and Maxx, and six different interior Design Selections – certain Selections have a special emphasis on eco-friendliness and sustainability, be it in terms of materials used or processes utilized.

Skoda have also used this opportunity to revamp their MySkoda app, allowing owners of the new Enyaq to remotely access and secure their vehicles, as well as monitor the condition of various components. Aside from all that, Skoda have not skimped on the driver assist suite either, offering everything the average user would expect from a vehicle of this class – adaptive cruise control, lane assist, side assist, pedestrian alert, remote parking assist, drowsiness alert, etc.
Verdict
The Skoda Enyaq continues with the implementation of Skoda’s latest design language, Modern Solid, which also represents their intentions going forward in all aspects as a brand.

With a starting price of €44,000, it’s gunning for the Tesla Model Y’s market share, and from what we have seen of it, the Czech have put forward a darn good proposition with the Enyaq.
