The Tata Group, an Indian automotive giant well-received for their eye-catching designs and cutting-edge innovation is all set to revolutionize the highly sought-after mid-SUV segment of India. Dubbed the “Tata Curvv”, this spectacular automobile is the first of its kind, paving way for the arrival of the much-awaited SUV coupé segment in India. Officially unveiled on the 19th of July this year, the Tata Curvv is a manifestation of Tata’s unparallelled craftsmanship in SUV designs, offering adept functionality with dominating road presence. As told by Mr. Shailesh Chandra, the Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and the Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., the company aims at democratizing the Coupe body style in premium categories, which incorporates best in segment performance and unmatched practicality in the Curvv. Chandra also assures that the Curvv would be the ultimate answer to all mid SUV customers out there, fulfilling all needs starting from superior design to premium performance.

Tata’s supreme design DNA in the realm of SUVs is not new to the enthusiasts; from the good-old Seirra to the cult-classic Safari, and from the new-age Nexon to the compact Punch, the list simply keeps progressing. However, the Tata designing team’s decision of synthesizing the Curvv by diversifying from their conventionally rugged boxy stature to a sporty coupé body style is something that has taken the automotive world by surprise. This gifts the Curvv a uniquely strong character, which is boldly carried by the same from its front, carefully radiating it all the way throughout its body.
As promised in their concept show car, Tata reassures unmatched aerodynamic capabilities in the Curvv. This is testified by its sharply sloping roofline, which significantly reduces wind resistance by allowing the Curvv to seamlessly cut through air. Adding to the vehicle’s aerodynamics are its large wheels, impressive ground clearance and lofty approach and departure angles, which facilitate a solidly balanced stance. The stunning appeal of the vehicle is further amplified by its tough cladding, raised ride height and its stunningly dynamic proportions.

Above all, the Curvv would be an ultimate Indian family car which is exclusively crafted for long drives. Despite being an SUV coupé, the Curvv is no less than any other SUV as far as the storage space is concerned. This is evident from its formidable interiors and an astonishingly spacious cabin. The Curvv also boasts a remarkably spacious boot space which has been carefully reconsidered to duly keep up with the needs of a customer. Gracefully letting in natural light into the cabin, the panoramic glass roof of the Curvv aims at giving the occupants a heighted sense of freedom and space. All this, clubbed with cutting-edge cabin technology and the wise choice of materials, colours and finishes makes the Curvv a complete SUV that any Indian family would yearn for.
The sheer driving experience offered by the Curvv is something to be cherished, thanks to its striking body style, unmatched agility and sturdy handling. All this, clubbed with superior performance gives this automobile a strikingly sporty appeal. As a cherry on top, the interior of the Curvv comes well-equipped with a highly functional infotainment system, including large screens and a highly functional connected car technology, which is only seen in higher-segment vehicles and often unheard among vehicles of the similar segment. Last but not the least, the Curvv stands a beacon for superior safety, preserving Tata’s long-standing reputation of manufacturing vehicles with the best of active and passive safety features.

The Tata Curvv isn’t just any car. It is a testament to India’s significant contribution in the world of SUVs, where innovation marries practicality, and performance meets design. Following Tata’s signature multi-powertrain strategy, the Curvv will premiere in three different powertrains, namely the Petrol, Diesel and Electric, with the electric variant boasting a best-in-segment long-driving range. The vehicle is all set to hit the Indian markets on the 7th of August starting with their electric variant and later followed by its ICE counterparts. This SUV coupé will initially debut in two new colour shades, with the Curvv.ev boasting a Virtual Sunrise and the Curvv ICE donning an elegant Gold Essence.
